Players should not wear full equipment on the first day, please dress appropriately for outdoor exercise and stretching. All players should have a mouth piece, cleats and plenty of water.

Please have the players try on all equipment with the next two days.  Sizing and equipment issues resolution will be address in 2 resolution sessions:

  • Friday 7pm-8pm - D1 and D3

Please keep in mind that the boys will be at practice during this time and should notifiy their coaches if they have an equipemnt issue.  If at all possible it is ideal for parents  to manage the equipment exchange while the boys are at practice.

Lasser Park Concession Stand Update

As you may or may not have heard, the Town of Blooming Grove building, at Lasser Park, which houses the concession stand, bathrooms, and team room, has been closed by the Building Department, for various building code violations. These violations were caused by certain issues pertaining to the construction of the building, and had nothing to do, with the use of the building, by the football/cheerleading program.  It is uncertain, at this time, to know how long the building will be closed or how long it will take for the Town to make the necessary repairs.

We are in the process of investigating options to provide an alternate concession stand and an area for team meetings.  On a positive note, we will still have access to the bathrooms.

It is unfortunate that this situation arose just when we are starting our programs, for the fall season.  It is also unfortunate that our programs will lose a substantial amount of revenue, with the loss of a fully operational concession stand.

However, let us not forget, this is a viable program for our kids and a program that is enjoyed by family and friends, and supported by a number of individuals (managers, coaches, volunteers) that contribute their time and effort to make this program, one of the best, in the county. We will do our best to provide alternatives, until we are back at full operating capacity and will continue to keep you updated, with information, as we move forward.

In closing, let’s look forward to another great season and support our players and cheerleaders—SEE YOU AT THE FIELD.

WYFCL Town and Park Rule

Dear WYFCL Parents,

Our season is off to a great start, thank you for all of your support. Just a reminder of a few town park and WYFCL rules:

-There are no dogs allowed inside the fenced field areas of Lasser Park.

-There is no smoking inside the fenced field areas at Lasser park.

-Please supervise any children not participating in practice, the field equipment is to be used by football players under the supervision of a coach only.

-The bathrooms are not to be used as hangouts.

-On game days, only players/coaches and league personnel are allowed on the home sideline.

-This is not a drop off program, however we understand that as parents we are all very busy, if you do need to leave your child at the field please make arrangements to have your child supervised by another responsible adult.

Thank you for your assistance, we are looking forward to the rest of the season.
